Professional football safety for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. He played college football at Florida and was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL draft. He has also played for the Detroit Lions. He was in the news in February 2025 after winning the Superbowl for trash talking Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. He goes by his nickname Ceedy Duce on Instagram, where he has over 300,000 followers.

Before Fame

As a freshman at Florida, he appeared in all 14 games, making starts in the final seven games of the season. He was named the MVP of the Outback Bowl. On November 26, 2018, he announced that he would forgo his final year of eligibility and declare for the 2019 NFL draft.

Trivia

The New Orleans Saints selected him in the fourth round (105th overall) of the 2019 NFL draft. On March 14, 2024, the Philadelphia Eagles signed him to a three-year, $27 million contract that includes $10 million guaranteed. In the 2025 NFL Playoffs, he helped ensure a 40-22 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Just days later, he posted a photo of him and Kelce from the Super Bowl on his Instagram story with a caption implying he should have stayed with his ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole, whom he broke up with about a year before he started dating Swift.

He was raised by his biological father, Chauncey Gardner Sr., his stepfather, Brian Johnson, and his mother, Del Johnson in Cocoa, Florida.
