About
American writer and cell biologist, known for publishing work that is dismissed by many of his professional peers as pseudoscience. Before Fame
He received a B.A. in biology from C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University in the year 1966 and a PhD in developmental biology from the University of Virginia in 1971. From 1973 to 1982, he taught anatomy at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, before joining St. George's University School of Medicine as a professor of anatomy for three years. In the 1980s he rejected atheism and promoted the idea that the way cells function demonstrates the existence of God. Since 1993, he has taught primarily at alternative and chiropractic colleges and school. In 2009 he won the Goi Peace Award for his work in the science of epigenetics.
Trivia
He has admitted to the fact that his ideas have not received attention from mainstream science, and it is well-known that he has not published original scientific research in a peer-reviewed medical journal in over 30 years. He has also been known to express opposition to vaccinations, specifically with regard to a supposed association between vaccines and autism, a claim that has been firmly discredited.
Family Life
He lives in Mount Kisco, New York with his wife, Margaret Horton. He has two children with ex-wife, Meryl Sussman: Rachel and Avi. Rachel was born on November 27, 1995, and Avi was born on March 22, 1998.
