When he saw that ESPN commentators weren't making the right calls and weren't explaining things clearly to viewers, he decided to explain it by making a  a video and posting it on YouTube. His first one was about NBA guard Markelle Fultz being diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndome.

His dad is the head of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department Head at Rose-Hulman, where he got his mechanical engineering degree.
