Brian Ray Norris

About

Renowned stage and television actor most widely recognized for originating the role of Mr. Krabs in the original Broadway cast of The SpongeBob Musical in 2017, as well as in its follow-up 2019 television special. He also gained substantial recognition for starring as Detective Mulcahey in American Horror Story: NYC. After making his feature film debut in the 2018 SoHo International Film Festival-nominated drama Landing Up, he also went on to make numerous guest appearances on television series including Monsterland, FBI, New Amsterdam, and Girls5eva.

Before Fame

Before making his Broadway debut in The SpongeBob Musical, he joined The National Company for their North American tour of the musical Mamma Mia! and performed in the Off-Broadway Davenport Theatre presentation of A Dog Story. He also appeared in stage productions such as Assassins and Paul Gordon's Sense & Sensibility. He made his first television appearance in a 2017 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. 

Trivia

He operates his own professional photography business called Brian Ray Norris Photography in New York, as well as the specialty division Sugar Pop Pin-Ups. In addition to vintage pin-up photos, he primarily specializes in headshots and creative studio portraits.

Family Life

On May 23, 2023, he posted a birthday tribute photo to his wife Stephanie B Levy Norris on his brianraynorris Instagram account. He has a dog named Winston.
