He then returned to Osijek and made the first team. He spent two seasons wth Osijek before moving to league champion Dinamo Zagreb, who after one game loaned him out to Lokomotiv. He played 19 games with Lokomotiv before returning to Osijek yet again.

Trivia

Midway through his second stint with Osije, Barišić agreed to a transfer Ukrainian club Dynamo Kyiv. The deal fell through, however, when Dynamo bought Dinamo Zagreb's Josip Pivarić. In an interview with Sportske novosti on 11 August, Barišić publicly blamed Dinamo Zagreb for scuttling his transfer to Kyiv. Less than two weeks later, two masked gunmen shot Dinamo Zagreb executive Zdravko Mamić in the leg. Some believe the shooting was an attempted assassination ordered by the Čepin Mafia clan. Barišić's father, Stipe is a member of the Čepin.

Family Life
