Blacklite District

About

Rock musician who adopted the stage name Blacklite District as a solo artist in 2020, after it had formerly referred to a band that he co-founded with Roman James. His extensive discography has included several tracks that have earned Top 40 distinction on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart, including "Falling" and "Gotta Get Outta Here." He has also released several albums through AK19 Entertainment, including "You're Welcome" and "You Can Do Better."

Before Fame

Due to the fact that both of his parents struggled with drug addiction, he was primarily raised by his grandparents. After the death of his mother at the age of 27 due to a heroin overdose, he was introduced to the Ozzy Osbourne album "No More Tears" by his uncle when he was 10 years old. He has expressed that this introduction was a defining moment in shaping his passion for music and later career.

Trivia

The lead single for his LP "1990," which was titled "Gotta Get Outta Here," remained in the top-40 of the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart for over 16 weeks after its release in October of 2021. Popular YouTuber and Minecraft animator Rainimator created several animated videos for his songs in a collaboration for his 2017 album "Instant Gratification." 

Family Life

He was born Kyle David Pfeiffer. He married his wife Amber Rice in December 2017 after having proposed to her on Christmas Eve the previous year. He has a son with her named Fitz, as well as a son from a previous relationship named Maddox.

He has referred to Fleetwood Mac, Linkin Park, and Twenty One Pilots as some of his greatest musical influences.
