Before Fame
He had a creative streak from a young age, dabbling with painting, but didn't pursue photography until he grew older and began traveling. Though he owned a DSLR, he mainly used his iPhone to photograph, until one day, his apartment was broken into and his camera was stolen. When he bought a new camera, his friend encouraged him to take it on his trips, which became the beginning of his career. He has been exhibiting his photography since 2021.
Trivia
He was selected as the 1st prize-winning image of the 2023 People Photography Award by renowned National Geographic photographer Michael Yamashita for a photo he took in Kolkata, India of a group of men in a busy street. He has photographed across the globe, and is particularly interested in busier and more hectic urban centers like India, Ethiopia and Vietnam, as well as closer to home in his adopted New York City.
