About
Designed the famous Glass House and other houses in Castlecrag, Sydney, Australia. Prevented the historical Paddington suburb, home of Juniper Hall and Centennial Park, from being completely renovated through the establishment of The Paddington Society.
Before Fame
He served in the RAAF Air Crew for three years, after being drafted in 1943. He studied architecture at the University of Sydney and graduated with honors. He was a student of Visual Arts at the East Sydney Technical University.
Trivia
He was a part-time lecturer at the University of New South Wales' School of Architecture for 10 years.
Family Life
His first home was designed with his brother, Neville. He married Ruth Harvey, with whom he designed the Glass House that became their home. They, along with Neville Gruzman and Tony Moore, had entered the design competition for the Sydney Opera House.

He and Frank Lloyd Wright both had a profound impact on architecture, albeit across different generations.
