Guitarist and singer for the Atlanta-based hard rock band Mastodon. The band released 8 albums before his death. In 2009, they won Best International Metal Album at the Danish Metal Awards.
Before Fame
He started out playing the banjo and then adapted that fast finger-picking style of playing to his guitar playing.
Trivia
For the first couple of years with Mastodon, Hinds had a side job as a carpenter to make ends meet. He passed away at the age of 51 following a traffic collision.
Family Life
His parents divorced when he was ten years old; he grew up with siblings, Traci and Brad. He married Raisa Moreno in May 2017.
