About

Rapper, singer-songwriter, and composer famously known for being a member of the co-ed K-Pop group KARD. He has also enjoyed a successful career as a solo artist, debuting in 2021 with the release of his single "Broken Me." He has starred on the variety web series HWAITING!, which premiered on Facebook Watch, and he has also presented DIVE Studios' Get Real Podcast, alongside co-hosts and fellow musical artists Shin Peniel and Choi Bi-na.

Before Fame

He was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA before relocating to South Korea in the year 2011 to become a contestant on the debut season of the SBS reality competition series K-Pop Star. After appearing on the show, he was enlisted by DSP Media and collaborated with pop singer Goo Hara on her song "La La La" in 2015. He also co-starred with her in the music video for her track "Choco Chip Cookies."

Trivia

He was featured on the cover of Men's Health Korea in May of 2019. He launched an apparel brand called Staydium, and has donated a portion of its profits amounting to thousands of dollars to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. He has also fundraised for the non-profit organization #STOMPOUTBULLYING.

Family Life

He has two younger brothers, one of which is also a singer who performs under the stage name ASTN.

He is a founding member of the musical group KARD, along with Jiwoo, Somin Jeon, and J.Seph.
