British marathon runner and Peloton instructor who has found fame with her becsgentry Instagram account. Her videos documenting her journey as a long-distance runner, including her participation in countless marathons and competitions, as well as her achievement of several prestigious titles, have led her to procure more than 180,000 followers. Having been featured by People Magazine, Athletics Weekly, The Clip Out, and on the cover of Runner's World's September 2021 issue, she has also become internationally known as the face of Peloton. Additionally, she competed in the Olympic Marathon Trials for Team Great Britain in 2021, finishing fourth overall.
Before Fame
She initiated her running career by working as a UK-based running coach before being hired by Nike for its running app, Nike+, to work as a Run Club Coach. She subsequently relocated to New York City in 2019, where she found employment as a Tread specialist with the on-demand fitness platform and stationary bike manufacturer Peloton. She eventually became the face of the Peloton brand and joined exercise instructor and New York Times bestselling author Robin Arzon to develop its renowned 18-week marathon training program.
Trivia
Graduating with Honors, she earned a bachelor's degree in visual arts and communications from the London Metropolitan University in 2007. She subsequently worked as an advertising executive for Financial Times before working in public relations for companies like Estée Lauder and RDPR Group. Although she had participated in cross-country running and other athletics throughout her childhood, she did not run while attending university and only took up running again in efforts to destress from her public relations career in the year 2011.
Family Life
On October 22, 2022, she and her partner Austin Curtis welcomed their first child together - a daughter named Tallulah Midgeley Curtis. She has also shared numerous photos of her Golden Retriever Maurice and her Weimaraner Dot on her Instagram account.
Associated With
In 2022, she led Peloton's marathon training program and coached television star Ashton Kutcher to prepare for his first-ever long-distance competition. He had previously announced that he would participate in the famed TCS New York City Marathon to raise funds for his nonprofit organization, Thorn.
