Award-winning Italian YouTuber, television personality, and science commentator popularly known as the "punk of popular science." He began hosting the comedic and educational series Scienza Brutta in 2016. He has appeared on numerous television programs including Micromonsters and 72 Dangerous Animals. He also narrated works such as Dinosaur Apocalypse and LifeDelphi, and has authored numerous books and essays, as well as a graphic novel called Frank, which was published in the year 2019.

Before Fame

He earned a degree in chemistry from the University of Bari before studying organic synthesis from the University of Bologna. He later went on to obtain his doctorate in green chemistry from the Université Côte d'Azur. Prior to embarking on his rise to fame, he worked as a chemist and researcher. In 2014, he launched his self-titled YouTube channel, which has since grown to host over 950,000 subscribers.

Trivia

He earned a National Scientific Dissemination Award for his 2020 essay "The Genius Does Not Exist (And Sometimes He is an Idiot)" before also earning the Best Science Podcast Award from Ilpod for his Audible podcast Storie Brutte Sulla Scienza, later that same year. He also won a Forte dei Marmi Political Satire Award and an Alchemical Baronet Award in 2023.
