Survivor of the famous 1912 RMS Titanic disaster. At the time of her death in 2007, she was the second-to-last living person to have been on board the legendary ship.
Before Fame
She boarded the Titanic with her parents and younger sister. Her father (the only member of the family to not survive the nautical disaster) hoped to work in the fruit business in Florida and was bringing his family with him to start a new life in the Untied States.
Trivia
Asleep when the ship hit the iceberg, she was carried by her father to a lifeboat.
Family Life
She married Stanley Winder in 1938. After his passing, she married Ernest Barrel Dainton.
Associated With
Leonardo DiCaprio starred in the film reenactment of the Titanic's tragic voyage.
