About
Ruler of Jerusalem who was known as the Leper King. He suffered from leprosy, which left him blind and unable to use his limbs. He became king at age 13, after his father's death. He led his kingdom against the invading Muslim forces under the general Saladin.

His life inspired the creators of the video game Darkest Dungeon. The game has a playable character called, "The Leper." His name is Baldwin.
Family Life
His nephew Baldwin V was crowned his co-king and later his successor. His sister Sibylla married William of Montferrat. She later married Guy of Lusignan.
Associated With
He was played by Edward Norton in the 2005 film Kingdom of Heaven, which also starred Eva Green as his sister Sibylla.
