Former southpaw boxer that primarily fought in the men's lightweight division. During his 15 year boxing career, he was often referred to as "King Arthur." He finished his boxing career going 38-1, with 23 knockouts. Upon retiring, he decided to become a professional trainer.
Before Fame
He initially began boxing as a kid at the age of 11. As an amateur, he collected over 300 victories while only losing 23 matches.
Trivia
Although he didn't win a medal, he was actually given a chance to compete during the 1992 Summer Olympics as a member of the Soviet Union. On February 24, 2009, at the age of 41, Artur came out of retirement for one more bout in which he won a six-round unanimous decision against Bulgarian Kirkor Kirkorov. Kirkorov is also of Armenian descent and also a 1991 World Amateur Boxing Championships medalist.

He is a husband and a father of three children.
