Spanish illusionist whose box office record-breaking shows have included La Gran Ilusión, a production based on the film The Truman Show, which has also been streamed on Netflix, and Nada Es Imposible. He is largely considered to be one of the most popular magicians in the entire world, having had his programs broadcast in over 190 countries worldwide. He starred in Magic for Humans on Netflix, and performed on numerous programs for Discovery Channel and Discovery Max as well as Antena3's Los Viernes al Show. In 2023, he purchased a site in Branson, MS, which he renamed the Branson Magic Theater and turned into his resident performance space. That same year, he also made his Broadway debut in the historic Ethel Barrymore Theatre, where his one-man show raised a record-breaking $2.7 million in a single week.
Before Fame
He spent the majority of his childhood learning to do card and coin tricks, and he grew up idolizing magicians like Spain's very own Maglari, as well as David Copperfield and Harry Houdini. He went on to perform his first show at the young age of 17 and graduate from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona with a degree in Dramatic Art before creating his first magic troupe at the young age of 20.
Trivia
Between the years 2017 and 2021, he sold more tickets than any other live performing artist in all of Spain. Forbes Magazine named him as the highest-grossing European illusionist in the entire world in 2018. He has also earned countless honors including the National Magic Award in 2008 and a plaque on the historical Calle Gran Vía in Madrid.
Family Life
He was first inspired to become a magician when he was just 4 years old and a friend of his family pulled a quarter out of his ear. He has stated that for weeks afterward, he continued to touch his ears trying to find more quarters and figure out how his family's friend had performed such an illusion.
