Legendary chef and restauranteur who has been called "the godfather of Italian gastronomy." The late chef starred on the BBC Two series Two Greedy Italians. He also penned nearly two dozen cookbooks throughout his five decade long career and became the head of his own Italian food shop chain Carluccio's.
Before Fame
He worked for more than a decade as a wine merchant in Germany before eventually becoming a restaurant manager in the 1980s.
Trivia
In 2012, he earned the AA Lifetime Achievement Award and released his autobiography, A Recipe for Life.
Family Life
He was married twice before he married Priscilla Conran. The two were married from 1980 until 2008. He passed away in 2017 after a fall in his home.
