He first began playing football at the age of six. He started playing for his local team in Hillsborough, California and went on to play for Burlingame High School. He played for two years at Skyline College and two years at Notre Dame de Namur University. In 1999, he started his senior career playing for Kaya and in 2004 made his debut appearance on the Philippines national team.

He has won several honors for his playing including the United Football League Runner Up award in the 2011 season for his work with the club Kaya and the PFF National Men's Club Championship in the 2014 season for his work with the Loyola club.

He was born and raised in San Francisco, California and is the younger brother of former Philippine international footballer Armand Del Rosario.
