Australian musical theater performer, known for his character acting and wide vocal range. He is a classically trained lyric baritone. He has performed on Broadway, the West End, at Carnegie Hall and with symphony orchestras all over Australia. He has been honored as an Australian National Treasure, along with his investiture as a Member of the Order of Australia for his services to the performing arts.
Before Fame
He made his debut with the Australian Opera in 1980. One of his first notable theater performances was as George Grossmith in A Song to Sing, O in 1987. Shortly after he played the role of Enjolras in Les Misérables.
Trivia
He first portrayed the Phantom in the original Australian production of The Phantom of the Opera. Other notable roles include Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Sweeney Todd from Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Henry Higgins in My Fair Lady. In 1992 he had to pause his career when diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Since recovering and returning to work he has done promotional work for the Leukaemia Foundation of Australia.

He is married to Celia Warlow. They have a daughter named Phoebe Rose Warlow.
