About

Los Angeles-based DJ renowned for having founded the monthly Sunday day party called Yer Not Down, as well as its culinary counterpart Yer Not Down Tacos. She has worked as the on-air DJ for Los Angeles radio station KDAY and collaborated with brands like Nike and Coldstone Creamery. She has spun at parties for some of Hollywood's most notable celebrities such as Kim KardashianKhloé KardashianJuice WRLD, and Lil Jon, and at some of the most celebrated clubs in Las Vegas, including Encore Beach Club, Mandalay Bay, Tao, and Marquee. In March of 2024, she announced her 22-city "Ooohh Heeeyy Gurllll" tour. 

Before Fame

She began making mixtapes for her aunt's house parties when she was in the 3rd grade. In the year 2006, her father gifted her a crate of original press vinyls including classic albums by Planet Rock, Salt-N-Pepa, and Prince. Shortly thereafter, she saved up for her first set of DJ equipment - a Gemini Direct Drive turntable bundle and began playing as a hobby as well as at house parties and local clubs.

Trivia

In addition to DJing, she also has an extensive dance background and has stated that if she hadn't become a successful DJ, she would have become a professional dancer. Throughout her youth, she dreamt of becoming one of the famed Fly Girls on the sketch comedy series In Living Color. She took professional dance classes and performed with a dance group called The Groovaloos. 

Family Life

Her birth name is Angela Renee Vasquez. She is the oldest born of 6 girls. Many of her family members played a substantial role in her journey to become a DJ, including her father who gifted her first collection of vinyl albums and her aunt who enlisted her talents in creating mixtapes for her house parties.

She has opened for Adam Goldstein, famously known as DJ AM, and performed on the crew of Grammy Award-winning artist DJ Spinderella. In April 2024, she appeared on La Platica podcast with Sebastian Robles and Josh Leyva.
