She was the choir mistress at her father's church. While at Koforidua University, she performed under the stage name Sexy Lagazee. She also wrote songs and sang backup for other musicians and singers. She trained as a chef and ran a culinary service, catering for parties, weddings, and funerals.
Trivia
When police closed down the offices of LGBT+ Rights Ghana in January 2021, she released the single Wo Fie, with Wanlove and Sister Deborah. The song's title comes from the Akan phrase Ebi wɔ wo fie, which translates as "the same thing is in your home."
Family Life
She was born Maxwell Okyere Opoku and grew up in the coastal city of Tema. Her father was a reverend and her mother a prophetess.
