About
Greco-Roman wrestler most widely reputed for competing on the United States Greco-Roman wrestling team at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He has won bronze medals from the 2014 World Championships held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and the 2015 World Championships held in Las Vegas, NV. He is also a Pan American Games gold medalist, having earned the decoration in 2015.
Before Fame
He ranked #3 in the entire state in wrestling while attending Chaska High School in his home state of Minnesota. He initially had intentions of studying at Minnesota State University; however, he changed his decision and went on to graduate from Northern Michigan University.
Trivia
His victory at the 2014 World Wrestling Championships brought the first World Greco-Roman wrestling medal for the United States since 2009. He has also competed in the 2014 FILA Wrestling World Cup.
Family Life
He married his wife Ashley in the year 2010. They are the parents of a son named Jim and a daughter named Molly.
