Before Fame

He entered the Nakhimov Naval School in 1989 and graduated in 1991 graduated. He graduated from the Army medical college of S.M. Kirov in 1997. From 1997 to 1999 he was based at the Army medical college and the St. Petersburg Medical Academy for Post-Graduate Education where he specialized in therapy, psychiatry, and psychotherapy. 

Trivia

He is an active member of the Academy of Russian Television. In 2009, he was the Director-General of Red Square (one of Channel One's divisions engaged in the preparation for Eurovision 2009. 

Family Life

He was born Andrey Vladimirovich Kurpatov in Leningrad. From 2000 to 2009, he was married to writer-producer Lilia Kim, with whom he had a daughter.

Since 2019, he has served as the scientific director of Sberbank, Russia's leading financial institution, which is headed by Herman Gref, one of Vladimir Putin's oligarchs who is on the U.S. Watchdog list and subject to Western sanctions.
