About

American musician and songwriter best known as the keyboardist for the Indie rock band Tally Hall. He played with them from 2002-2011 when the band began an indefinite hiatus. Some of the songs he wrote were "Good Day", "The Whole World and You" and "Misery Fell." He has worked as a music producer and songwriter for artists including John LegendCeline Dion, and Rebecca Ferguson, among others.

Before Fame

He began learning the piano at age 5 and was composing by age 8. In high school, he pursued composition and piano studies with the faculty at the Juilliard School and was the principal pianist in the New York Youth Symphony. He received his bachelor's degrees in Music Composition and English Literature from the University of Michigan in 2001. 

Trivia

He is known for wearing a green tie on stage. He also writes fiction and poetry, for which he has won two Hopwood Awards. He was the senior arts writer for The Michigan Daily Paper. In 2004 he won the John Lennon Scholarship Award for writing Tally Hall's "Good Day." His adhorowi Twitter account has gained over 10,000 followers.

Family Life

After the band went on hiatus, he began working from his studio in Brooklyn, New York. He is Jewish.
