About
Former synchronized swimmer who earned four Olympic medals, 16 World Championship and 11 European Championship medals. She retired from elite competition in January 2013 and she became a coach. In June 2022, she was poolside during the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest when swimmer Anita Alvarez fainted and sank to the bottom of the pool. She dove in to bring her to the surface.

She joined the national synchronized swimming team in 1999.
Trivia
She competed at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. She has won four medals in the women's duet and women's team events.
Family Life
In 2013, she married gymnast Victor Cano. In 2014, they welcomed a son named Kilian Cano Fuentes. Her sister Tina Fuentes was also a synchronized swimmer. She died in 2018 at the age of 34.
