Architect and designer who worked as both a professor and chairman of the Polytechnic University of Milan's School of Interior Design until 2009. His design works have been permanently included in collections at museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, and the ADI Design Museum in Milan.
Before Fame
He was born and raised in Florence, Italy. He graduated from the Florence School of Architecture in 1966. Soon thereafter, he co-founded the Archizoom Associati design studio.
Trivia
He has won 2 Compasso d'Oro Awards. He was named an Honorary Royal Designer for Industry by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce in 2008. In 2018, the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts awarded him with the prestigious Rock Schock Prize.
Family Life
His wife, Nicoletta Morozzi, founded the Domus Academy design school where he served as cultural director for over 10 years. He passed away at the age of 84 in October 2023.
