English chef, broadcaster, and former musician known for being a judge and later a presenter of the BBC's culinary competition show Great British Menu. She also has a cookbook: The Pepperpot Diaries: Stories From My Caribbean Table published in 2023. She also known for having a large following on Instagram with over 150,000 followers.

Before Fame

She originally was immersed in the music scene before she became a chef. She was the lead singer of the post-punk band Rip Rig + Panic in the 1980s which also featured Neneh Cherry. She later transitioned into broadcasting and hosted shows on BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service.

She and her partner own and run the Caribbean restaurant Andi's Wadadli Kitchen. She also is a cohost of the podcast Stirring it Up. 

Family Life

She was born Andrea Oliver. She was born and raised in London, England. She had a brother who died from sickle cell anemia. She has been with her partner Garfield Hacknett since the early 2000s. She is the mother of television presenter Miquita Oliver.
