Before Fame

She was born and raised in Michigan. She earned a bachelor's degree in web design and interactive media. After she and her husband purchased their first home, which she described as a "fixer-upper," the financial constraints of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic inspired her to learn how to tackle various projects to upgrade the property on her own. She launched her blog to share her experiences and advice with other aspiring DIYers.

She developed an online course called The Influencer Academy for aspiring digital mavens to learn how to maximize their use of social media. She has also shared a weekly newsletter with her fans and followers which has included project tutorials, gift guides, and product recommendations.

Family Life

She met her husband TJ while she was working as an NBA dancer and he was working on The Flight Crew, an acrobatic dance team, for the Detroit Pistons. They dated for 1 ½ years while TJ attended veterinary school before marrying in July of 2015. They share two sons together named AJ and Jordan. They also have a dog named Diesel.
