Australian athlete who has become revered for her performance in the heptathlon and famously earned a silver medal for her performance in the 2017 Summer Universiade in Taipei, Taiwan. Coached by Zsuzsanna Olgay-Szabó, she also went on to compete in the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the 2019 Universiade, as well as the 2019 World Championships.

Before Fame

She commenced her career at Cherrybrook Little Athletes. She first represented Australia in the 2013 World Youth Championships held in Donetsk, Ukraine, in the heptathlon youth event, where she came in 5th place. She later competed in the World U20 Championships held in Bydgoszcz, Poland, in 2016, before making her senior career debut the following year.

Trivia

She volunteered with the Cherrybrook Home Athletic Movement Program (CHAMP) virtual challenge for young athletes during the COVID-19 lockdown in the year 2021. She earned her college education from the Australian Catholic University.

Family Life

On March 29, 2020, she shared a photo on her alyshaburnett Instagram account in which she appeared alongside her sister, Laurise, on Laurise's wedding day. The caption on her post affectionately welcomed her new brother-in-law, Matthew Latimer, to the family.
