Family Life
His father is Mexican, and his mother is German. He has a daughter named Vanessa, his eldest child, from a past relationship with former partner María Luisa Castillo. He was briefly married to Colombian actress Diana Golden in the late 1990s before they divorced and he married Mary Paz Banquells. He had three sons with Mary Paz named Alejandro, Sebastián, and Diego. His marriage to Mary Paz came to an end after 25 years and the couple officially divorced in 2017.
