British adventurer, businesswoman, equestrian, and socialite most notably known for making long-distance journeys on horseback. In 1999 she traveled the length of the Silk Road over the course of eight months. She later appeared in other documentaries and newscasts. She is also an interior designer.

Before Fame

She studied at a girl's boarding school before earning a degree in Russian at University of Edinburgh. After university, she worked at the investment banking company Credit Suisse First Boston.

She offers horseback riding trips in Kyrgyzstan through her website. On her website, she runs horse back riding trips and The Tolstoy Edit, a look into her interior design style. She also has a website called The Tolstoy Edit that features her interior design work.

Family Life

Her father was historian Nikolai Tolstoy. She was married to Shamil Galimzyanov from 2003 to 2009. In 2009, she had a son named Alexei. Alexei was later found to be the son of Sergei Pugachev, with whom she had begun a relationship. They were first reported to be romantically linked in 2011. They had two more children together named Ivan, and Maria. They later separated in 2015.
