Alexander Nicholas Bono

American professional soccer player who is a goalkeeper for Major League Soccer club D.C. United. He was selected 6th overall in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft by Toronto FC and was considered to be the highest prospective goalkeeper in the class. He signed a one-year deal as a free agent with D.C. Before Fame

Before college, he was New York State's top goalkeeper recruit. He went on to play at Syracuse University. 

Trivia

During his freshman season on the Syracuse Orange men's soccer team, he was named Rookie of the Year. He was also voted to the Big East Conference All-Rookie Team. 

Family Life

He was born and raised in Baldwinsville, outside of Syracuse, New York. He has been dating Bianca Vellone since January of 2021.
