Record-breaking drag racer, Instagram star, and lifelong auto enthusiast who has secured wins in events like Streetcar Takeover and Small Tire Shootout and was declared the winner of the 2021 MotorTrend Presnts Roadkill Knights Grudge Match. She has earned fame as the co-host of MotorTrend's long-running television show HOT ROD Garage, alongside Lucky Costa. She has also made a name as a celebrated automotive influencer, having collected over 380,000 followers on her alextaylorracing Instagram account.

Before Fame

Having been introduced to the auto industry at just a few weeks old, she grew up watching her father work on cars and learning the craft herself. She earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, which she attended on full-ride scholarship before graduating at the top of her class. While attending college, she established her own company, Alex Taylor Racing.

Trivia

At the age of 16, driving "Badmaro," she became the youngest-ever driver to compete in Hot Rod Drag Week. Her treasured car collection also includes a Twin-Turbo Chevy called Retronova and a 1955 Chevy sedan called The 55. She secured her first job as a brand ambassador for Crower Cams while in high school.

Family Life

Her father Dennis is the owner of a custom shop called Hot Rods by Dennis Taylor. Her mother Debbie manages public relations and works as the shop's office manager. She has a sister named Megan who is a prized photographer.

She and Lucky Costa began co-hosting HOT ROD Garage together during its 10th season, taking over for the show's former host - drift racer and stunt driver Tony Angelo.
