Transgender actress, comedian, television personality, and vedette (or cabaret dancer) who created, produced, and presented her Telehit Network sketch comedy television show Que Show con Alejandra Bogue in 2008. She starred as Gladys on Te Acuerdas de Mí, as Kitzia Ariadna on Love from the Hood, and appeared in films like Instructions Not Included, The Last Call, and Glitter & Doom. She has been photographed for the Mexican issues of Vogue and Elle Magazines.
Before Fame
During the early 1980s, she appeared in some of her first drag performances, where she would impersonate iconic personalities like Cyndi Lauper and Madonna. She began to transition to become Alejandra around 1985, at which time she was performing at the Gallery nightclub. She appeared in various stage plays and even helped open for pop star David Bowie before making her television debut in 2002, with the cast of Desde Gayola.
Trivia
Over the course of her career, she appeared in numerous installments for American photographer Joel-Peter Witkin. She first posed for his piece titled "Man with a Dog," followed by "Three Kinds of Woman" in 1992. Witkin captured her in "The Soul Has No Gender" and featured her images in his book and accompanying documentary film Witkin & Witkin.
