Former Canadian ice hockey player who played for HC Litvínov in the Czech Extraliga. He was a second round selection of the Chicago Blackhawks, 56th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in April 2012.
Before Fame
His first pair of skates was purchased at a garage sale, and he began playing in a house league in the Toronto neighborhood of Parkdale. Within a few years, he was drafted into the Ontario Hockey League in the first round by the Windsor Spitfires.
Trivia
In his career, he has played for the Rockford IceHogs, an American Hockey League (AHL) team. In November 2019, he went public with allegations that former Calgary Flames coach Bill Peters, while coaching the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, directed racial epithets at him in the locker room.

He was born in Nigeria. He has been in a relationship. He has a son called Kash Michael Aliu.
