Former soccer player known for having played as midfielder and defender for the North American Soccer League and Major Indoor Soccer League. He has also been a collegiate soccer coach and an Adidas sales rep. He has played for NASL teams such as the Pennsylvania Stoners and Detroit Express as well as MISL teams including the Denver Avalanche and Baltimore Blast. He has coached for Kennesaw State University and Clayton State University, the latter of which he brought to an 11-5-1 record.  

Before Fame

While attending Thomas Jefferson University, then referred to as Philadelphia Textile University, he was a 1976 2nd team and a 1977-78 1st team All-American. He graduated in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in business management before being selected in the first round of the NASL draft to play on the Atlanta Chiefs. 

Trivia

Some of his accolades include being named the 1980-81 All Star Game MVP for the MISL's Denver Avalanche, and winning the MISL Championship in 1984 while playing with the Baltimore Blast.

Family Life

He is the brother of professional soccer player John Brooks.
