Screen actor and bass guitarist famously known for being a founding member of the Egyptian rock band Cairokee, which rose to fame for its socially conscious lyrics in the wake of the Egyptian Revolution of 2011. He has also established himself as an on-screen performer, appearing on television series like Dawaay Al Safar and Albernameg with Bassem Youssef.
Before Fame
He formed a close friendship with the fellow founding members of Cairokee at an early age. After establishing the group, he ventured to Australia to study guitar and saxophone. Upon his return to Egypt, he initially rejoined the band as its saxophonist while pursuing a career in business. However, when Cairokee's primary bassist resigned in 2007, he fully committed himself to the role of bass guitarist.
Trivia
His band Cairokee earned a Middle East Music Award in the year 2013 before also being nominated for an MTV Europe Music Award the following year. Its song "Ya El Midan" also achieved the distinction of earning the #1 spot on Facebook for global downloads, within only 2 days of being released.
