She initially began her YouTube footprint with a channel that she created with a friend, called MissyandLizz. She later rejoined the video sharing platform in 2012 under the name AcidRainbowKittens. She created her AcidPentagramPizza channel in July 2014 with the intention of using it as a secondary channel; however, it eventually went on to become her primary outlet.

She was diagnosed with Autism at a young age. However, a later reevaluation amended her diagnosis to Asperger's syndrome. She has openly discussed her past and ongoing experiences with the condition on her many social media channels.

Her real name is Melissa Jean Muniz, but she has commonly gone by the nickname Missy. On January 31, 2022, she shared the news that she was expecting her first child. Her son Elliott and her boyfriend Seth have both made numerous appearances in the videos on her channel.
