Cricketer and leg-spin bowler who joined the Pakistan team in December of 2022 to play against England. In his test debut, he took 7 wickets in the first innings and 4 in the second for a total of 11, the first Pakistani bowler to do that. He was picked up for the PSL 2023 season by Islamabad United.
Before Fame
He studied at the Rashid Latif Academy, named after the prominent cricket coach. He made his debut in early 2017 with the Karachi Kings. His first-class debut was later that year.
Trivia
He is a hafiz, meaning he has memorized the entire Qur'an. When he competed in the series against New Zealand, he again scored 5 wickets in the first innings of the first test.
Family Life
He is the youngest among eight siblings with five brothers and four sisters. His brother Shahzad Khan played as a fast bowler for National Bank and was the first to recognize Abrar's talent for cricket. Originally his father was unsupportive but came around.
