Abdul Rahman Yasin

Iraqi extremist who assisted in the February 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center. He was released from custody after taking to the FBI and flew back to Iraq in March 1993.

Before Fame

He was born in Bloomington and was recruited by Pakistani terrorist Ramzi Yousef.

Trivia

The Iraqi government wanted certain United Nations sanctions lifted in exchange for handing him over the United States, but negotiations fell through.

Family Life

His father moved from Iraq to Indiana to study for his PhD.

Once he returned to Iraq, he was given money by former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
