Multi award-winning singer-songwriter, composer, and music producer who has become widely known for his compositions in a wide variety of musical genres, including Indian and Western Classical Music, as well as Pop, Tamil, Jazz, and Hindi. He performed on countless film soundtracks, including Think Originals and Indian 2. Some of his best-known tracks include "Neelorpam," "Dooke Chinuka," and "Jaa Kaga."

Before Fame

He began studying Carnatic and Hindustani Classical Music when he was 12 years old. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in finance and management. He later attended the Metalworks Institute of Sound and Music Production on full-ride scholarship, eventually earning a degree in music performance and technology.

Trivia

He was declared the winner of a global television music reality show in the year 2015 and subsequently named the year's Astro International Superstar. He has also earned awards from Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradahana and was named Best Senior Vocalist at the Shankmukhananda Sabha in Mumbai.

Family Life

He was born the son of Venky and Pushpa Venkatachalam. He has a sister named Aparna. They are originally from India; however, he was raised primarily in Toronto, Canada.

Associated With

He collaborated with Anirudh Ravichander and Manoj Muntashir for his 2024 song "Dhaage," which was featured on the soundtrack of the feature film Hindustani 2. He has also worked with artists such as Andrea Jeremiah, Ks Chithra, and Benny Dayal.
