About

Animal rescue advocate and internet personality, most widely recognized for having become the celebrity wife of Dan Smyers of the country rock duo Dan + Shay in 2017. She has volunteered and fostered dogs extensively through the Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue in Tennessee and she also sponsored the Wags & Walks Rescue adoption center that opened in Nashville in July of 2023. In January of 2024, she and her business partner Kathryn Hurley appeared on the cover of Brentwood Lifestyle Magazine to promote the Wags & Walks cause. 

Before Fame

Prior to meeting Smyers, she worked as a marketing manager and was well-known for being an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. She and Dan met while they both happened to be volunteering at an animal rescue center in their hometown of Nashville, TN.

Trivia

She made appearances in the Dan + Shay music videos for "Nothin' Like You" and "10,000 Hours." She also inspired the name for the duo's 5th album, "Bigger Houses," which was released in September of 2023.

Family Life

She and Smyers became engaged on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii on November 18, 2016, and tied the knot just 6 months later at a Nashville sunset ceremony in May of 2017. She is also the daughter of Country Radio Hall of Fame member and former radio personality Mike Kennedy.

Associated With

She married Dan Smyers in 2017, who is half of the musical duo Dan + Shay along with Shay Mooney. Both she and Mooney's wife, Hannah Billingsley, have been the inspiration behind many of the band's lyrics.
