Australian author who is best recognized for his work within the medium of Children's Books. He is best recognized for having been the author and artist behind the popular children's series Pig the Pug and The Bad Guys which was a New York Times bestselling graphic novel and was also picked up by DreamWorks Animation for a feature film.
Before Fame
He started his career as an actor in the 1990's before choosing to focus on art in the mid 2000's. After several solo exhibitions throughout Australia, he switched to creating children's books in 2006. His first book Pearl Barley and Carlie Parsley was published in July of 2007 and won the Children's Book Council of Australia Award.
Trivia
He is also known for having had a career as an actor and appeared in the 1994 film The Damnation of Harvey McHugh for which he won the Australian Film Institute Award.
Family Life
He was born and raised in Bendigo, Australia. He married actress Kristie Hutton and together they have two sons.
