Pakistani national who is known for being convicted of assault and attempted murder of an U.S. Army Captain. She was placed on the FBI's Seeking Information - Terrorism list in 2003 for allegedly providing aid to Al-Qaeda. She was arrested and questioned by the FBI in 2008 and convicted in 2010.

She obtained a PhD in neuroscience from Brandeis University. She also studied at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Trivia
For her crimes, she was sentenced to 86 years in Federal Prison and is being held at Federal Medical Center, Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas. Since her conviction, Pakistani leaders have publicly discussed the idea of a swap or deal that could lead to her release.
