Before Fame
After enduring the loss of both of her parents at a young age, as well as several other close loved ones, she sought out physical reminders of happier times like nostalgic collectibles. She realized that she was clinging to the items in a form of emotional hoarding and that the things themselves were not actually making her happy. She discovered minimalism and made a drastic improvement to her and her family's life, and started her blog in 2018.

During the initial overhaul and decluttering of her entire home, she and her family made over $50,000 by reselling the items they were attempting to get rid of. She and her husband were able to save up to 70% of their income by relocating their family home to Europe, and subsequently pay off her $25,000 in student loan debt as well as the $250,000 family debt that had been accrued while living in the United States.
Family Life
When she was just 9 years old, she sadly lost her mother due to cancer. When she was in college, she tragically lost her father as well. She and her husband are the parents of two sons, who are named Dìdì & Gēgē.
