Award-winning Spanish actress who came into the spotlight thanks to her role in the 1977 film Cet obscur objet du désir. She was named Best Actress at the 1986 San Sebastián International Film Festival for La mitad del cielo.

Before Fame

She studied dance and theater art at the Escuela Superior de Madrid.

Trivia

She became the first foreign actress to receive the Italian cinematographic David di Donatello prize for 1985's Un complicato intrigo di donne, vicoli e delitti.

Family Life

Her father Antonio was a popular dancer, singer and actor. She married Leo Blakstad in 1995. Her daughters' names are Olivia and Maria and her sons' names are Samuel, Mateo and Antonio.
