About

Electronic musical artist, singer, and keyboardist famous for over two dozen albums including "Bayramin Olsun" (1982), "I Love You" (1986), "Dokunsalar Ağlarım" (2001), and "Ben Bu Gece Ölmezsem (2013)." In 2016, he re-released some of his classic hits in an updated rock-style genre for the album "Başka," which featured famous singers such as Cem Adrian. He's also been featured on the songs of other famous musical artists like Teoman and Emre Aydin.

Before Fame

While performing in various clubs throughout Adana, he was discovered by Turkish footballer Metin Oktay. Based on Oktay's recommendation, he was given the opportunity to perform at famous clubs in Istanbul. It was there that he met songwriters Selami Sahin and Ahmet Selçuk İlkan, both of whom helped him record his first LP.

Trivia

Since the early 1980s, he's acted in over a dozen feature films including Yikilan Gurur and Olur Olur. He's also guest starred in episodes of television series like Tek Yürek and Kalk Gidelim. 

Family Life

He is the son of Fikret Besen, who's his father. He also has a brother named Rifat Besen. He is married to Emel Özçelik.

Associated With

In 2015, his 1982 hit single "Nikah Masasi" was remade by pop singer Ajda Pekkan. On the track, she's accompanied by the Enbe Orchestra.
