Sequel to the 2024 movie-musical Wicked: Part One that covers the second act from the Broadway musical adapted for the film series. Following the initial film's focus on the friendship and backstory of witches Elphaba and Galinda, Part 2 is focused on the latter developments of their friendship as they become, respectively, the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.
Trivia
It was determined that the Wicked story would be separated into two movies in order to expand upon the stories of both characters. Jon M. Chu was chosen to direct both portions of the two-part series.
