About
Animated romantic fantasy set amidst an unusually rainy season, the story follows a troubled country boy who runs away to Tokyo. When he arrives in the city he takes a job as an assistant for a magazine publishing company. One afternoon his world is forever changed when he meets a girl who can control weather patterns. The film was written and directed by Makoto Shinkai.
Trivia
It received four Annie Award nominations. It was also selected for Japanese entry for Best International Feature Film at the Academy Awards.
