Direct sequel to David Gordon Green's 2018 horror film Halloween. The films sees the menacing Michael Meyers escape from the trap set by Lorie Strode. She then makes it her quest to inspire the inhabitants of Haddonfield to take on their tormentor.

The movie released in theaters as well as on the streaming platform Peacock. Comedic actor Danny McBride co-wrote the script with David Gordon Green.
